Studio West Liability + Photo Release Agreement

By participating in any Studio West class, session, or event, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Assumption of Risk

I understand that hot mat Pilates involves physical activity that may include strength training, flexibility exercises, elevated heart rate, sweating, and movement on various surfaces. I acknowledge that physical exercise carries inherent risks, including but not limited to muscle strain, dehydration, dizziness, fainting, falls, or aggravation of existing medical conditions.

2. Heated Environment

I understand that Studio West classes are conducted in a heated environment. I recognize that heat can increase physical strain and may not be suitable for individuals with certain health conditions, including cardiovascular issues, respiratory concerns, or heat sensitivity. The heat is intended as an added benefit of the class, but may not be appropriate for everyone. It is my responsibility to determine, with my healthcare provider if needed, whether participating in a heated workout is safe for me.

3. Voluntary Participation

I confirm I am voluntarily choosing to participate in Studio West classes and agree to monitor my own physical condition throughout the session. I will stop immediately if I feel pain, discomfort, dizziness, or any symptoms that concern me.

4. Release of Liability

I understand that by participating in any Studio West class, session, or event, I do so at my own risk. I agree that Studio West, its owners, instructors, employees, affiliates, and the property owners of the facility where classes are held are not liable for any injury, accident, health complication, or loss that may occur as a result of my participation, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional harm.

5. Responsibility for Personal Belongings

I understand that I am responsible for my own belongings and that Studio West is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged items.

6. Medical Clearance

I confirm that I am physically able to participate in fitness activities and have either consulted a physician or chosen not to, understanding that this decision is my responsibility.

7. Participation at Own Risk

I understand that Studio West instructors may offer guidance, cues, and suggested modifications, but they are not medical professionals. I agree to follow instructions at my own discretion and understand it is my responsibility to know my limits.

8. Photo & Media Release

I understand that photos and videos may be taken during Studio West classes and events for the purpose of marketing and promotion. I grant Studio West, its owners, instructors, employees, and affiliates permission to capture, use, publish, or distribute these images or recordings in any Studio West materials, including social media, website content, and advertising. I will not receive compensation for this use.

9. Agreement

By checking the box at checkout, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agree to all terms within this Liability and Photo Release Agreement. I understand that this agreement applies to all current and future classes, sessions, and events hosted by Studio West.

 

10. Non-Refund Policy

I understand that all purchases made for Studio West classes, sessions, events, memberships, packages, and drop-ins are non-refundable. This includes but is not limited to missed classes, late arrivals, schedule changes, personal conflicts, or decisions not to participate. I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to confirm my availability before booking. In certain cases, Studio West may, at its sole discretion, allow transfers or credits, but such accommodations are not guaranteed.

 

11. Food & Beverage Disclaimer (Matcha & Other Offerings)

I understand that Studio West may provide complimentary or purchased beverages, including matcha and other refreshments. I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to disclose any food allergies or sensitivities and to carefully review ingredients before consuming any item provided. I agree that Studio West, its owners, instructors, employees, and affiliates are not responsible for allergic reactions, illness, or any adverse effects resulting from the consumption of beverages or refreshments offered at Studio West. I assume all risk associated with choosing to consume any such items.
